A Boy at War is written by, Harry Mazer. Adam Pelko lives in Hawii and his dad is a naval officer onboard the USS Arizona. He has a friend named Davi Mori. Davi's parents are from Japan but he was born in the US. One morning Adam and Davi and another frieend were fishing right outside the harbor when they herd the droning of Japaneze planes. Then it started, that morning was the attack of Pearl Harbor. His father's ship was sunk and he died. Adam and his mother tell his little sister that her dad is going to be gone for a while. Davi's dad was taken prisoner and taken to a island with no contact to anyone. Adam's needs to deliver a letter to one of Davi's relatives. Then Adam goes to camp where he meets Davi and hisn family, even his dad. Davi is looking for a job and Adam asks him to stay at his Grandfathers farm.
